CUENTAN los cuenteros, que, en el año de 1966, un domingo 18 de diciembre, ocurrió un lamentable accidente que enlutó la tauromaquia de la ciudad heroica, debido al arrojo de un valiente aventurero y tremendista diestro español de Lugo Galicia, de nombre Manuel, que se arrojó desde un paracaídas para ingresar victorioso a la serrezuela e iniciar su faena en traje de luces. La brisa lo empujo hacia el mar y se ahogó.
